ARs: - AR: Mike LaBonte to upload IBISCHK User Guide and message spreadsheet Done. - AR: Weston Beal to prepare presentation on IBIS Quality Specification and checklist No report. NEW ITEMS: IBISCHK710 development: Mike said this was done. Parser bug reports: Mike LaBonte asked if we wanted to issue a new IBISCHK711 with open bugs fixed. He noted that open BUG230 was classified as Severe with High priority. Bob Ross said that one might be easy to fix. Randy Wolff felt it would be good to address existing bugs before 7.2. Mike suggested waiting some time before starting a new development project, in case other bugs were reported. BUG227: Mike asked if calling DLL functions was something we should start working on before IBISCHK720. Randy said it would be good if another tool like PyBERT could do that. Mike asked how extensive the root name problem was in the industry. Randy did not believe it was necessarily widespread, but it was an easy mistake for model makers to make. Bob asked if there was a BIRD yet, to clarify the root name requirement. Randy said there was a proposal for the clarification, but not yet for the associated [Test Data] change. Randy noted that calling AMI_GetWave many times to check for clock_times output could slow down ibischk. Bob felt a simple change would be best. Mike felt the new checks should be optional, not run by default. He asked if we should do minimal checks in a 711, if only to check root names. That would be a warning, until the clarification BIRD was passed and incorporated into a specification. Mike also said some model makers might want assurance that the check would not reveal internal model details. Randy noted that PyBERT and other tools were open source, they might do that anyway. Randy and Bob wondered if it was worth the cost. Bob said he did not want to add the new change without specification changes. Randy noted that we had not yet classified BUG227. Bob felt we needed to wait for the associated BIRD before classifying it. IBIS quality checklist: No discussion. Tabled topics (no discussion without motion): - BIRD181.2 - IBISCHK security fixes Randy Wolff moved moved to adjourn. Bob Ross seconded. Without objection the meeting ended.
